SHOT Show 2025 was one for the books for me. Being my eighth SHOT Show, I already knew what to expect. Nevertheless, this one proved to be crazy busy and exhausting with more booths than ever before to visit and an overwhelming number of products to check out.
After walking a total of 63 miles and 134,000 steps in just four days, I was ready to say goodbye to Las Vegas and head home for some much-needed rest.
One of my favorite things to do at SHOT Show is search for new products that I can use everyday, or that I think are just flat-out cool. The best part of my job is that I get to share those products with you. So, here is my list of the most interesting products I saw at the 2025 SHOT Show, in no particular order.
Wiley X WX Founders
Wiley X is coming out with some incredible new glasses for 2025, and my favorites are the WX Founders frames. The Founders are designed to honor Wiley X’s pioneering founder, U.S. Army Veteran Myles Freeman Sr.
With maximum eye protection and a bold, standout silhouette, the WX Founder sunglasses are perfect for anyone who wants to look great while protecting their eyes during any activity or just for daily use.
They feature a robust build and removable side shields, which are ANSI Z87.1 safety-rated to withstand high-velocity impacts. The lenses offer 100% UVA/UVB protection with no distortion for perfect clarity. The frames are extremely lightweight and feature dual-injected rubber temples for comfort.
All these features make them ideal, in my opinion, for outdoor adventures or casual everyday wear. Wiley X offers the Founders in a variety of color combinations and in my experience can be found as low as $140. They can even be set up for prescriptions.
EOTECH Vudu 3-9×32 Rifle Scope
EOTech is known for incredible optics that push the limits of what can be done with sighting systems. Even so, the new Vudu 3-9×32 SFP is simply on another level, in my opinion. The super-short second-focal-plane riflescope might just be the perfect optic for a defensive rifle.
The housing is constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum to be compact, lightweight and incredibly durable. This second focal plane design is only 6.8” in length and weighs in at 16 oz. The SFP is fog, water and shock resistant which helps to make it ready for any situation.
The capped turrets offer ¼ MOA adjustments. EOTech opted for an illuminated reticle in this scope. It has 10 brightness settings and is powered by a CR2032 battery that should provide roughly 300 hours of operation.
An integrated base is part of the scope’s design. For those wanting a non-magnified solution, EOTech is even offering a version that includes a ring mount with an EFLX red dot included. This ring mount can be attached to the front tube section and positioned at the top or at a 45-degree offset. The Vudu 3-9×32 SFP starts at $1,059.
Meprolight MPO Pro
Another optic that stood out to me was the Meprolight MPO Pro-S closed emitter red dot. It is a durable and rugged enclosed optic system built to meet strict and harsh demands.
The Meprolight MPO Pro-S enhances precision and accuracy across multiple firearm styles and calibers. It automatically adapts to any environment thanks to the automatic brightness adjustment and shake-awake technology. It mounts on the common RMSc footprint, so it is easy to adapt to your favorite pistol.
The optic is also rated as IP67 against dust and water intrusion. This means it can be submerged to one meter for 30 minutes and still work. It is certainly enough protection for the rigors of concealed carry and law enforcement use. It is also built to endure direct impacts so it will handle any and all environments and situations.
The red dot features a user-selectable three-segment reticle system with a 3 MOA dot, 33 MOA bullseye and 33 MOA ring options available with the simple press of a button, allowing the shooter to customize the optic for their exact needs and wants. The MPO Pro-S has an MSRP of $279, making it an affordable option for many shooters.
Benchmade SOCP Dagger Combo
Training with blades can be difficult — both in finding a good instructor and in having quality tools that are safe alternatives to the actual knives you might carry. In collaboration with Greg Thompson, Benchmade developed the SOCP Dagger Combo. Thompson is highly regarded as a defensive tactics trainer and created the Special Operations Combatives Program (SOCP).
The combo includes the SOCP dagger and a 1:1 replica red training dagger so you can safely and effectively train with this specific knife type. According to the company, the SOCP Dagger allows the user to manipulate other objects without putting down the knife.
Each knife is made out of sheet steel and laser cut before being sharpened and shaped. The dagger comes with a specialized sheath that is designed to sit tight to whatever it is attached to and seamlessly integrate into gear and webbing. Benchmade also came out with a matching rescue tool, which is less lethal with a rescue hook and glass breaker replacing the dagger portion. Both the SOCP Dagger and the Rescue tool feature a finger loop on the end for quick deployment and dexterity.
The combo kit has an MSRP of $180. You can also purchase the SOCP Dagger alone for $130. If you prefer the rescue tool, it has a suggested retail price of $110.
Sharps Bros. Meanstreak
Another knife that was impressive was the Sharps Bros. Meanstreak 3” Button Lock Folding knife. The Meanstreak’s stainless steel blade is deployed quickly and smoothly around a custom-designed pivot with a brass and ceramic bearing system. This tough interior leads to fluid blade movement within a stylish titanium and steel scaled housing.
When the blade is flipped to the open position, the stainless Sharps Bros. button logo covertly pops out of the scale, supporting the locking mechanism of the knife. When you are ready to fold the knife away, just depress the Sharps Bros button logo to release the blade from the locked position.
I feel the knife is perfect for every day carry and think the MSRP of $289 is very reasonable for the quality of this blade.
Decibullz Custom Molded Percussive Shooting Filter Earplugs
Decibullz makes some very nice hearing pro at incredibly affordable prices. I was particularly intrigued by their Custom Molded Percussive Shooting Filter Earplugs. At only $75, they really got my attention.
They feature at-home moldable ear plugs with customizable ear canal tips and a percussive insert that goes in the center of the earbud that filters out harsh harmful sounds while allowing safe decibel levels to pass through. The design allows you to hear everyone and anything on the range or while hunting while comfortably protecting your hearing from harmful decibels of the gun shots, all while using no batteries or rechargeable devices.
5.11 A/T Elite GTX Boots
I have always been a fan of 5.11 footwear, so I was interested to see what was coming for 2025. A 5.11 representative showed me exactly what I have been looking for in a shooting range boot with the new A/T Elite GORE-TEX (GTX) boots.
5.11 is offering them in mid, 6” and 8” heights and in tan and black color options right now. The boots are engineered for all-weather performance with GORE-TEX for waterproof breathability as well as Vibram soles that are ASTM-certified slip and oil-resistant for safety across a range of environments. The boots also feature the famous 5.11 Tactical A.T.L.A.S. Elite footbed that provides a plush layer while the A/T support plate distributes your weight evenly. These boots will be perfect on a wet range, at work, on duty or hunting. Suggested retail pricing on these boots starts at $200.
Mechanix Wear Specialty Vent Covert Gloves
Walking down an aisle, I spotted a very busy booth that caught my attention. I somehow never realized that the Mechanix Wear company was making shooting sports gloves now. I stopped in the booth and instantly was drawn to the Mechanix Wear Specialty Vent Covert gloves.
I am not a huge fan of shooting gloves because they tend to make my hands sweat. Mechanix Wear solved that with these Specialty Vent Covert gloves. These gloves provide evaporative cooling with a fully ventilated design. Breathable mesh combines with a perforated 0.6mm palm to allow cool air in and circulate throughout the glove.
The Specialty Vent Covert shooting gloves feature perforated trigger fingers and work with touchscreens like tablets and phones. No pulling them on and off to reset your chronograph or answer a phone call. You can grab a pair for less than a premium box of ammo at only $35.99.
Dead Air Silencers Sandman X
This list wouldn’t be complete without a suppressor in the mix. The can that stood out to me was the new Dead Air Silencers Sandman X. The Sandman X is a hard-use can that is designed to operate under extreme conditions on semi-automatic and fully automatic 7.62x51mm NATO rifles like the SAINT Victor AR.
I believe the Sandman X gives users the most pleasurable shooting experience possible by optimizing sound, balancing backpressure and eliminating flash. It incorporates an intricate 3D-printed baffle system that is stronger and lighter than most suppressors in its class. Sandman X ships with a 7.62 flash hider front cap, but is designed to accept any front cap you need from Dead Air Silencers. The Sandman X starts at $999.
Final Thoughts
It is always hard to pick the top products from a massive show like SHOT Show, but this list represents some of my favorites that I encountered. 2025 is shaping up to be one amazing year if you are a firearms enthusiast like me. I know I can’t wait to see what other incredible products come out in the next few months.
