First Look: TALO Exclusive Glock G45 + Aimpoint ACRO P2 3.5

TALO Distributors is now selling a new variant of the full-size Glock G45 MOS 9mm pistol that includes a direct-milled Aimpoint ACRO P2 3.5 enclosed-emitter slide-mounted reflex sight.

Unlike most other MOS pistols sold by Glock, the Glock G45 MOS featured in this bundle has a direct-milled cut slide that is cut for this specific red dot optic. In general, commercial customers buy Glock MOS models and make use of a Glock or aftermarket adapter plate to mount the red dot optic of their choice to their pistol. In addition to the factory mounted Aimpoint ACRO P-2 red dot sight, this TALO Distributors Glock 45 also includes with a set of black Ameriglo back up iron sights that will co-witness with the Aimpoint ACRO P-2’s red dot.

Launched in January of 2019, the fifth-generation Glock G45 is one of the Austrian gun company’s standard width, 9mm double stack pistols. It has full size grip like the Glock G17 but combines the shorter slide of the Glock G19 with a 4-inch barrel instead of the standard Glock G17’s slide and 4.5 inch barrel. This results in something akin to a “commander” sized 9mm Glock, like the original single stack 1911 pistols which had full size grips and shorter slides to make them slightly easier to carry.

The Aimpoint ACRO P-2 is the second generation of Aimpoint’s duty / military grade enclosed-emitter slide-mounted electronic red dot sight. It has a distinctive mounting footprint which clamps horizontally to surfaces, as opposed to being fastened down from the top with two screws like most other slide mounted reflex optics.

TALO Distributors has two versions of this pistol available for sale: one that ships with the standard full size 9mm Glock 17-round magazines, and another one that substitutes the 17-round magazine for a 10-round magazine for compliance with state laws.
