CZ's DUTY pistols pair a serialized chassis with a 50,000-round claim
November 5, 2026
CZ has launched the DUTY, a 9mm striker-fired line built around a serialized chassis that swaps between grip modules. RECOIL's first look lists all four models at $729.
Key points
- Service life: CZ guarantees 50,000 rounds with standard 9mm and 25,000 with overpressure ammunition, and says the pistol was tested using NATO STANAG AC/225 methodology.
- Safeties: Drop, trigger and out-of-battery safeties, plus an optional ambidextrous thumb safety. It also comes apart without pulling the trigger.
- Optics: Included pins mount RMR, RMSc, Holosun K and DPP footprints directly. An adaptor plate adds Aimpoint ACRO, Colt Optics and the Holosun HE509T, and the iron sights co-witness out of the box.
- Models: The 4.0 C and 4.0 F, each with or without a manual safety. All have a 4-inch barrel, with flush-fit 15-round magazines on the C and 17-round on the F.
- Fit: Three grip module sizes adjust the palm swell, and the controls are fully ambidextrous.
Quick take
RECOIL says the DUTY does nothing earth-shattering but looks like a very solid defensive option. This is a first look with no range results, so the durability figures are CZ's claims for now.
