Franklin Armory Inc. has recently announced its latest aftermarket drop-in binary trigger, the new Franklin Armory 22-EZ Drop-In Binary trigger to be used with the popular Ruger 10/22 series of .22 LR semi-automatic rifles and large format pistols.
As the latest member of the Franklin Armory Binary Firing System, the new Franklin Armory 22-EZ Drop-In Binary Trigger makes use of the patented Franklin Armory “pull and release” semi-automatic trigger mechanism that’s common to the other units the Binary Trigger lineup. Similar to other Franklin Armory Binary triggers, the new 22-EZ Binary Trigger has a three-position functionality. The first position is “safe”, the second is standard semi-automatic and the third position is binary mode. With binary mode, a round is fired when the trigger gets depressed, like it would in the standard semi-automatic firearm. However, with the binary functionality, a second round is fired during the trigger’s reset. In other words, the binary trigger will cause a second round to fire as soon as it is released from being pulled all the way back after the first shot.   Â
“We listened to our customers and potential customers alike who were seeking that sweet spot between affordability and ease of installation,” said Jay Jacobson, President of Franklin Armory. “Our new 22-EZ not only makes going Binary easier on the pocketbook but it’s a breeze to install as well.”
The 22-EZ Drop-In Trigger for the Ruger 10/22 sits in a polymer cassette and is completely drop-in and easy to install. This new rimfire binary trigger has a starting retail price of $369.99. For customers who still prefer a rimfire drop-in trigger housed in an aluminum cassette, Franklin Armory offers the 22 Plinkster (22-C1-P) for $469.
