The Custom Shop SR1911 Competition pistol, designed in collaboration with Doug Koenig, comprises a race-ready pistol build. It features a precision-machined Koenig Shooting Sports low-mass hammer and competition sear. Combined with a custom flat-faced trigger shoe, precision-machined disconnector and hand-tuned sear spring, it exhibits a crisp, clean trigger break.

Koenig achieved perfect scores of 480 in each of the four events that make up the Bianchi Cup–Practical, Barricade, Moving Target and Falling Plates. He also tallied a total X-ring hit count of 183 for the total score of 1920-183.

“After 36 years of shooting this competition, it is still exhilarating to get out here and compete alongside these other great shooters,” Koenig said. “Winning my 20th Bianchi Cup is special, but it is even more special to win my 2nd title with Team Ruger.”

“Doug is the greatest of all time at this event, and he is an even more impactful contributor to Team Ruger,” added Vice President of Marketing Rob Werkmeister, Ruger. “From mentoring young shooters to helping develop great new products, Doug provides wins for Ruger every day. We are delighted to celebrate this milestone for Doug and proud to have him on our team.”
